Over the last year, Nexgeneral Construction has partnered with Tenaya Lodge Yosemite to complete a variety of renovation and improvement projects across the property. Restoring the Main Event Deck at Tenaya Lodge
One of our first major projects was the restoration of the main event deck at Tenaya Lodge. This highly utilized space hosts weddings, corporate events, and gatherings throughout the year, making it one of the property’s most important outdoor venues.
During our assessment, we discovered that portions of the deck’s underside were experiencing rust and deterioration caused by moisture exposure. Our team implemented specialized moisture-control solutions and preventative measures designed to protect the structure from future water damage.
These improvements not only restored the deck’s integrity but also extended its lifespan, ensuring it remains a beautiful and functional event space for years to come.
Waybound Cabins Exterior Paint Refresh
Another significant project involved refreshing the exterior of the Waybound Cabins. In just one week, our team successfully repainted eight cabins using the popular Iron Ore color, giving the buildings a modern and sophisticated appearance.
The updated color scheme complements the natural surroundings of Yosemite while creating a more cohesive and elevated guest experience.
These exterior improvements help maintain the high standards guests expect from a luxury mountain resort while protecting the buildings from weather-related wear.
Timberloft Pizzeria Renovations
We completed renovation work at Timberloft Pizzeria, one of the property’s popular dining destinations. The project focused on refreshing the space while improving overall functionality for both guests and staff.
Our renovations enhanced the atmosphere of the restaurant, creating a more inviting environment while supporting operational efficiency. These updates contribute to a better dining experience for visitors enjoying their stay at Tenaya Lodge.
Winter Pool Installation Project
Installing a pool is a complex undertaking under normal circumstances, but completing a pool installation in the mountains during the winter months introduced additional challenges. Cold temperatures and seasonal weather conditions required careful planning, coordination, and execution.
Despite these obstacles, our team successfully completed the project, helping advance Tenaya Lodge’s vision for continued property enhancements. The new pool contributes to the resort’s luxury amenities while supporting its evolving design aesthetic, which blends modern mountain hospitality with contemporary influences.
Waybound Clubhouse Renovations
We most recently completed a full renovation and rebrand of the Explorer Cabins and Clubhouse. This included expanding the existing building; adding room for a full commercial kitchen and enlarged bathrooms connecting to the current clubhouse footprint. This project enhanced guest experience at the clubhouse providing a full restaurant and bar with expanded outdoor seating.
