Nexgeneral Construction completed a ground-up build of 18 duplex-style independent living apartments at the California Armenian Home. This project was designed to provide comfortable, modern housing for residents in a thriving senior community.

Built with care and attention to detail, the homes were finished with upgraded kitchens, new flooring, and thoughtful improvements requested by the owner. The project also included changes to the original utility design and a sidewalk reroute to better serve the residents.

As the final touches were completed, our team had the unique opportunity to meet some of the new residents and welcome them with gift baskets in their new homes. Experiences like this are a reminder of why we build and who we build for.

The Challenge

The California Armenian Home needed to expand their independent living capacity at The Vineyards — a 40-acre senior lifestyle campus in Fresno — without disrupting the community already living there. The project required careful site coordination to manage active construction alongside daily campus life, while delivering homes that matched the elevated standard residents expected.

What We Delivered

Nexgeneral managed the full construction process from groundbreaking through final inspection. Mid-project, the scope evolved to include utility design changes and a sidewalk reroute — adjustments our team handled without impacting the overall delivery timeline. Every villa was completed with upgraded kitchens, quality flooring, and finishes that reflect the California Armenian Home’s commitment to exceptional resident experience.

The Result

All 18 villas were completed and occupied on schedule. This project remains one of the most personally meaningful in Nexgeneral’s history — as residents moved into their new homes, our team was on site to welcome them. The California Armenian Home was Nexgeneral’s very first client, and this project represents the kind of long-term partnership built on trust, communication, and consistent delivery.
