Nexgeneral Construction is proud to have brought Elysa’s Coffee & Confections to life at the California Armenian Home. What was once a modest gift shop is now a bright and inviting space where residents and visitors can enjoy coffee, candy, and ice cream in a fun and comfortable setting.

We replaced a folding table with a custom-built coffee station complete with an ice cream freezer, candy dispensers, and thoughtful lighting that brings warmth and energy to the space. The entire area is wrapped in a striking shade of blue, “Bay Area Blue” by Farrow & Ball, creating a fresh and cheerful atmosphere.

This project is a great example of how creative design and quality craftsmanship can completely reimagine a space. Special thanks to Sierra Woodworking for their expert collaboration in making this transformation possible.

What Made This Project Special

The best retail spaces don’t just function well — they create a feeling. For Elysa’s Coffee & Confections, that feeling was warmth, energy, and just a little bit of joy. Every design decision — from the Bay Area Blue paint by Farrow & Ball to the custom candy dispensers — was made with the residents of the California Armenian Home in mind.

Working with Sierra Woodworking, our team crafted custom built-ins that made the most of a compact footprint. The result is a space that feels intentional and inviting, not like an afterthought.
